Last winter (2022) we insulated the barn, which extends our School Visit and Farm Stay season by 4 months! With that expansion, we’re adding a Farm Stay coordinator to our leadership team, and extending opportunities for farm educators and counselors.
Farm Camp Educator/Counselors – April – November, full time
Working with 7-17 year-old campers, the position will include guiding small groups through farm projects and chores, leading a fun and positive cabin of young people, promoting hard work and creative play each and every day. You are energetic, hard-working, enjoy being outside, appreciate good food, healthy living, and are interested in life on a family farm. Room and board included, the candidate must pass background checks and be willing to live in bunk area with campers during the camp week. Farm experience not required!
Farm Stay Coordinator – Year-round, full time
The Farm Stay Coordinator will work with all weekend guests on the farm–coordinate and host weekend family farm stays, coordinate and host events and retreats on the farm, handle the logistics and communication behind guest preparations.
The ideal candidate is a fierce worker and fun to be around, has the ability to jump in to guide or help, can engage with guests and staff appropriately, and thrives on the sense of pride and accomplishment after each day. You are passionate about farm life–from animal feedings, cooking with fresh produce, scheduling, gardening and have the ability to work alone or as part of a team. You love fresh air and meaningful work, are an excellent communicator, engage with families and youth, highly organized and detail oriented.
