We’re excited that your class is coming to TCE! Below are resources to help you prepare for your time on the farm.
Packing List:

Our packing list does not include a shirt or top for each day as we provide teachers and students with a green TCE t-shirt for each day you are on the farm. Everyone will be able to keep and take home the shirt that they wear the last day of your visit!
CampBrain:
We collect all of our forms through an online software called CampBrain. Parents complete the forms when it’s convenient for them and submit them digitally and confidentially. The benefit to you – far less chasing paperwork and hounding families in the weeks leading up to your visit.
On our end, CampBrain allows us to have all health information and waivers in one place and in one format so we’re well prepared for the week, aware of medications, allergies and dietary restrictions. All we need is a student name and parent email, we’ll do the rest.
Communication and In-school Presentations:
The best visits are a result of open and frequent communication in advance of the actual time on the farm. We want to partner together to create the outcomes you hope for, whether developmentally and curricularly, with individual children, with the classroom as a whole, and even with the entire student body.
We would love to come visit your school in person, to present to parents, to meet with teachers and heads, to give your stakeholders a sense of who we are and a level of comfort choosing to come to TCE. We are parents too and we pay close attention to where our own kids will be and want to know the people who are caring for them.
Staying in Touch During the Visit:
We know that parents are eager to see what their children are up to each day, so we post 30-40 pictures each night to our Facebook page. Throughout the day, we try to capture the children doing everything from chores to projects to free range time, and we’ll add a little narrative so it all makes sense. Please visit our Facebook page The Country Experience at Amstutz Family Farm to view previous camp and school visit posts as an example.
